Introducing an exciting new opportunity for young singers of the Parish!
Our seasonal youth choir, formerly known as the Songbirds, is growing to a new format with more opportunities to sing this year!
The “new” name for our choir isn’t new at all… The Church Street singers was originally formed in 1998 by Brother Kevin McGoff, O.F.M. The Church Street Singers invited teens from suburban and Hartford area high schools to join together in song.
We are so excited to be able to continue a musical tradition, grow our music program, and welcome young singers and high school leaders.
Rehearsal and Performance Schedule
Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on the dates listed below.
Can’t make all of these dates? That’s OK! We’d love to have you join us for those events where the grouping of rehearsals / performances works for your schedule.
Practice recordings will be provided.
**Christ, the King:
Practices are November 6 and 13
Sing November 20 at 10:00 am Mass
**Lessons & Carols and Christmas Eve:
Practices are December 4, 11 and 18
***Lessons and Carols special rehearsal: Saturday, December 17 from 9:00 – 9:45 am in the church
Sing at L&C on Sunday, December 18 at 7:00 pm (arrive at 6:15 pm)
Sing December 24 at 5:30 pm Mass (arrive at 5:00 pm)
**Easter:
Practices are March 19, 26 and April 2
Sing Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 10:00 am Mass (arrive at 9:15 am)
