Parishioner Jennifer Regan-Lefebvre, PhD, a professor and noted wine historian, will talk us through key moments in the history of wine. She’ll explain how Catholicism has been a driving force in spreading wine throughout the world, with both delicious and devastating results. The talk will include a tasting of two wines.

Jennifer Regan-Lefebvre, PhD, is Professor of History and Chair of the Department of History at Trinity College. Her third book, Imperial Wine, won the André Simon Award for food and drink writing in 2023, and she was named a Future 50 Under 40 in the global wine industry in 2019. She holds a BS from Georgetown University and a MA and PhD from Queen’s University Belfast and has also taught at the Universities of Cambridge and Exeter.
