Franciscan Brother Octavio Duran, OFM was born in El Salvador and has traveled throughout the world documenting the life and plight of hundreds of individuals in a diversity of locales, including Asia, Africa, North, Central and South America and Europe. Trained as a photojournalist, Br. Octavio’s color photographs are sensitive and engaging portraits of the people, places and events that he encounters, ministering to the poor and underprivileged of the world.
