Dear SPSA Parish Community,
Our 2023 Christmas In July campaign to support our Sister Parish’s church and school in Zoranje, Haiti is just around the corner. Our contributions have enabled us to fund an ongoing student lunch program, and more recently additional educational needs of St. Genevieve School. Father Gaby Noel, the pastor of St. Genevieve Church and School, wrote the following message to our Haitian Parish Committee to express, on behalf of his families and children, gratitude for our continued commitment to his parish community:
Dear Committee Members,
The parish of St. Genevieve in Zoranje, Haiti greets you as brothers and sisters in the precious name of Jesus to take this wonderful opportunity to thank you for your sincere support of our parish community. The funds received from you have helped us feed students, teachers, and kitchen staff, pay our teachers, purchase school materials, and make repairs to student chairs, and benches, and provide general maintenance.
Through your gracious support, we have enough resources to provide 1,000 Gourdes ($10 US) to support about 20 elderly and vulnerable persons. Your assistance helps parents send their children to school knowing that they will have food to eat.
Without your support these various projects would not be possible, which is why the entire St. Genevieve parish community, especially the staff, teachers, and students, thank you warmly and offer you their highest gratitude.
Reverend Father Gaby Noel, Parish Priest
