Artist Janet Mullen, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, spent 20 years ministering to the people of Kenya. This exhibition captured her memories of Kenyan women and their children, as well as Kenyan culture and the effects of globalization. What shined through her work was the strength of the human spirit rising above the concrete realities of poverty, racism and disenfranchisement.
