The Sister Parish Committee is thankful and energized for everyone’s ongoing support of our sister parish, St. Genevieve in Zoranje, Haiti.
You share our mission to inspire hope and joy for families struggling with economic recession, political impasse, and unprecedented levels of gang violence. You are the reason why we are able to sustain funding for student lunches, teacher salaries. Any extra funding this year supports the purchase of instructional materials and allows Father Gabby to respond to serious humanitarian needs in his parish community during this unprecedented period of lawlessness and fear.
“Christmas in July” 2023 asks you to make a donation because you believe in ensuring the sustainability of our covenant mission. If you would like more information about our Sister Parish Ministry please visit our page here.
Prayer: Our Lady of Perpetual help is the patroness for Haiti and holds a special place in the prayerful hearts of Haitians. You can make another connection with our sister parish families with the following prayer:
“Mother of Perpetual Help, we know that we cannot heal every ill or solve every problem.
But with God’s grace, and your motherly help, we are intent to do what we can to help our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
As you held the child Jesus in your loving arms, so take your Haitian children in your arms.
Be a mother ready at every moment to help them.
Let us be a witness to life in Haiti where love for one another really matters.”
