Adult Faith Formation
Make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, virtue with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with devotion, devotion with mutual affection, mutual affection with love. If these are yours and increase in abundance, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 2 Peter 1:5-8 NAB
The Adult Faith Formation Ministry nurtures the spiritual growth of our diverse faith community by encouraging adults to deepen their experience of God in daily life. Adult Faith Formation provides a variety of daytime, evening, and weekend opportunities to study Scripture; share faith; participate in information and discussion sessions on topics of Catholic faith and practice; and learn about and practice traditional and modern forms of spirituality. Members of the Adult Faith Formation Ministry collaborate to identify areas of interest to parishioners, find available resources and speakers, plan and develop programs, and research contacts for future programming.
Specific Programs include:
- All Are Welcome Annual Retreat an opportunity for prayer, rest, and reflection that is open to all parishioners
- Contemplative Prayer such as Lectio Divina and centering prayer
- Faith Sharing Sessions
- Information and Discussion Sessions on topics of Catholic faith, belief, and practice
- Scripture Study including multi-session series on specific biblical topics
- Spirituality Programs including Franciscan spirituality
- Spiritual Reflection
