GHIAA Power Summit at Weaver High School
November 21 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
The 2024 Power Summit is a large gathering of Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance members and community leaders, coming together to use our collective power to move our communities forward. Together, we show decision-makers that our concerns are important, shared, and necessary.
During the Summit, attendees will hear powerful impact stories from members of the community that have influenced GHIAA’s strategic priorities: housing affordability, fiscal policy reform, and combating religious & racial hate. These stories illuminate the need for people in power to take action and make people-centered policy decisions.
Then, we will ask public officials to use their power toward the resolution of GHIAA’s priority issues in specific ways and they will have the opportunity to give their responses. GHIAA leaders will also make our own commitments to move these issues forward through our ongoing organizing and advocacy.
