Perhaps you have heard the question circulating among Catholics, “Is our Church still relevant in our society today?” We propose this answer: The Church as the People of God, enlivened through our Baptism, is called to vibrant, relevant living based on Gospel values which speak words of hope and comfort to those afflicted, and words of truth and integrity to those who serve and lead.
When we fully comprehend our own inherent dignity and rightful empowerment through the Holy Spirit, stagnation will not be an option. Our ongoing response to the gifts of this first Sacrament refreshes our own lives, our parish, and all of society.
Please join us this summer for three reflection sessions immediately following the 12:05 Mass on Wednesdays in the church:
July 24: “Anointed for Mission” (Pre-read reflections 1-3 – see below)
July 31: “Discipleship”: Enriching Relationships and Growing in Holiness (Pre-read reflection 4)
August 7: “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors”: Living into our Motto (Pre-read reflection 5)
Together we will explore anew and reclaim this incredible gift and grace given at Baptism.
