Dear Parishioners and Friends,
The Spring issue of the Catholic Transcript features photos of four crosses on the cover, including one that you might recognize – the large San Damiano crucifix which hangs in our sanctuary. The theme for the current issue is how the Cross offers hope. Soon we will enter upon the journey through Holy Week when we will once again walk with Jesus through those difficult days when he bore his sufferings for our sake, and rose from the dead in victory over death.
Last Sunday, at the St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation ceremony held at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Jim and Beverly Boyle received the medal from Archbishop Coyne along with parishioners from virtually all the parishes of the Archdiocese. In addition, Sisters Maureen and Theresa, the co-founders of the House of Bread, were recognized as the 2026 Outstanding Service Recipients. We congratulate all of them for the selfless service they have given to our parish and to the wider Hartford community!

Beverly and Jim Boyle proudly display their St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation.

Blessings on your week ahead!

In just a few short weeks, our parish has raised $29,869.00 for the 2026 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal supports many important ministries and programs in the Archdiocese. Gifts are allocated towards religious education programs, youth ministries, local charities, the education of our seminarians, support for our retired clergy, our Catholic schools, and the many ministries provided daily by the Archdiocese. If you have not made a gift, please prayerfully consider making a pledge or one-time gift.
Join us, your parish community, and We Are One, by sharing your blessings with the less fortunate.
Please take a moment to watch the launch video here:
We hope you can help us meet our parish goal of $115,000. If you would like to make a gift, please mail in your pledge card. You may also visit the Archdiocesan website at www.archdioceseofhartford.org or call the Appeal Office at (800) 781-2550. Keep in mind that an early pledge will allow you to best use the monthly payment plan.
All funds contributed to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal are used exclusively for the purposes outlined in the Appeal literature, which can be found at https:// archdioceseofhartford.org/appeal/. No Appeal funds are ever used for legal fees or settlements.
