The support that our Parish, St. Patrick – St. Anthony, provides to our sister Parish, St, Genevieve in Zoranje, Haiti, literally enables the Parish school to be open. Through the provision of salaries for teachers and aides, school lunch program and books, many members of the community remain employed and the children at the school have a good meal every day. Our support also helps with supplemental food for a number of the elderly in the Parish who are in need. Apart from the sustenance that our support provides, and more importantly perhaps, our support gives a measure of hope and stability to a community in great need of hope and a sense of steadfast support in very troubled times. Through our hope, faith, and sustenance the community of Zoranje and the Parish of St. Genevieve can look beyond the present troubles and look forward to a better future. The students can count on a safe place, a good meal and very importantly an education, and the community at large can count on the continued operation of their school.

The average cost of a meal for 400 children, 28 teachers, and staff is the equivalent of $0.30/day. Will you be willing to support a meal of fish, peas, and rice or corn each day for students and staff in the school cafeteria? Please help us keeping the spirit of hope alive for our brothers and sisters.
