Dear St. Patrick St. Anthony Parishioners,

Through ups and downs, our parish has provided support to our Sister Parish for the last 20 years- helping to fund their Parish school via funding teacher’s salaries, school lunches and supplies, and food assistance to a small number of elderly. Our commitment assists in maintaining a level of quality education over the years as evidenced by students’ test scores. The school lunch program alleviates some financial pressure on parents.
More recently, the rise of gangs within the political turmoil across Haiti has increased the number of students attending the St. Genevieve school as children from surrounding parishes seek a place where they can attend school regularly. This surprising trend points to the broader impact of our support – St. Genevieve school has become a haven for serving families beyond the Parish boundaries. This reminds us in our own time of the parable of the loaves and fishes, where seemingly not enough grows beyond its original capacity to serve.
While we accept donations all year long, we celebrate and highlight our covenant in July. We invite every parishioner, children and adults, to participate – any donation amount is welcome. And all are asked to pray for a return to peace in Haiti.

What can your generosity do? $72.00 pays for one student’s lunch for one year, $100 pays for a teacher salary for one month, $152 supports thirteen elderly parishioners for one month.
