Women of the Bible
Artwork by Luba Lukova

August 29 – October 27, 2019

Luba Lukova, American and New York City visual artist and designer, will open our fall exhibition season with her Women of the Bible series. This series, created in a “graphic wood-cut” style places the women in the Bible squarely in the contemporary, feminist space, but more importantly in thoughtful human terms. This series bridges the divide between fine art and graphic arts as stated by Boston Globe writer, Cate McQuaid, “When graphic art becomes high art.”
